In a thrilling display of athleticism on Thursday afternoon, the Bonney Lake Panthers hosted the Graham-Kapowsin Eagles in a highly anticipated track meet. The weather played a subtle game of tension, with clouds looming overhead all day, threatening to pour rain. However, as the athletes took their marks, the rain held off, letting them give their best performances under overcast skies.

The atmosphere at Bonney Lake’s home track was electrified as the Panthers came out on top, securing commanding victories in both the men’s and women’s varsity competitions. The final scores saw the Panthers’ men’s team clinch a 94.5-53.5 win over the Eagles, while the women’s team triumphed 108-47.

As expected, the field events delivered some of the day’s most exciting moments. The shot put and discus competitions, held under particularly muddy conditions, saw athletes launch their throws into the damp, splashing dirt that was as much a part of the event as the flying projectiles.
